My art is greater than your art

My art is greater than your art

My art is greater than your art
Because it deals with pressing issues,
Yet remains aesthetically pleasing.
It can be framed and nailed to a wall,
Or hung by a hook from the ceiling.
My art is greater than your art
Because it describes how I’m feeling,
And I know you don’t get it at all,
But you are not a god worth appeasing.
Yours is a machine, fit to disuse;
My art is greater than your art.

My blog is better than your blog:
Don’t judge its comments, or lack thereof;
Read me and you’re awed into silence.
I do not want a conversation;
I’m a rally, not a conference.
My blog is better than your blog
Because you’re under the influence
Of Vice Bloggers’ Network. Conflation
Of conflicting content breeds violence,
Leaves a mess. I digress: all three of
My blogs are better than your blog.

My brain is bigger than your brain:
It’s grander than a grandfather clock;
It’s learnt more than you’ll ever forget,
Forgotten more than you’ll ever learn.
Your cell’s lonely, mine are all crowded;
My brain is bigger than your brain:
With mystery it is enshrouded;
I have got philosophies to burn,
In every idea I beget
Lurks revolution: a short, sharp shock.
My brain is bigger than your brain

And don’t get me started on my cock.
